James Rathbone
JAMES RATHBONE is a writer, director, and producer. He makes subversive romantic comedies that channel the strangeness and pleasure of modern life. He wrote, directed, and produced, Standard of Care (VIFF 2019) and Solemates (TIFF 2024, HKIFF 2025). Solemates was licensed for distribution by Ouat Media and is currently streaming on Crave (Canada). As a producer, his work includes Squeegee (SXSW 2021). He also cofounded Boosie Fade, a music, media, and events platform.
